Transient Students
Transient students can be visiting students who are attending Gulf Coast State College (Âé¶¹TV), or Âé¶¹TV students who are attending another college or university.
Visiting Student Applying to Âé¶¹TV

An undergraduate student in good standing at an accredited collegiate institution can enroll full time as a non-degree seeking transient student at Âé¶¹TV and transfer credits back to their parent (host) institution.
- Provide Transient Authorization paperwork from parent (host) institution to Âé¶¹TV Enrollment Services office.
- Apply to Gulf Coast State College as a non-degree seeking Transient Student.
- Pay $10.00 college application fee.
- It is the visiting student's responsibility to provide their host school's approval -- Transient Student Authorization -- to the Graduation Specialist at Âé¶¹TV.
- Upon approval the student will receive a Welcome Email from Âé¶¹TV.
Students currently enrolled in a Florida State College or University may earn credits to transfer back to their parent institution by attending Âé¶¹TV as a non-degree seeking student.
- The parent (host) institution determines the residency status of the student and whether instate or out of state course fees apply.
- Complete an online through Florida Shines to attend Gulf Coast State College.
- Florida Shines will send for the permission from both your parent (host) and visiting institutions.
- Request up to four courses on one application.
- No application fee through Florida Shines.
Âé¶¹TV Students Applying as Transient Elsewhere

If you are currently enrolled at Gulf Coast State College — we are your parent (host) institution. In order for a Âé¶¹TV student to be a transient student they must meet the following criteria:
- Be an undergraduate student in good standing with the college.
- Must have completed at least 25 % of degree program at Âé¶¹TV. (i.e. 15 credit hours for AA or 30 credit hours for BAS)
- Have at least a 2.0 GPA
- If enrolled in a BAS program must have permission from the Program Advisor.
If you do not attend the college you chose it is your responsibility to submit a Letter of Non-Attendance from your "HOST" college (on college letterhead) to the Âé¶¹TV Graduation Specialist dstromain@gulfcoast.edu, BEFORE THE END OF CURRENT SEMESTER.
